Manifesto

Our manifesto is a pledge to fight for data privacy as a human right.

The fate of humanity is hanging in the balance of technological innovation and human intentionality.

We believe technology can lead to a more free, open, and fair society, however, without intentional efforts to establish this kind of world, past patterns of using advancements for centralized control, surveillance, and oppression are almost a guarantee.

Human innovation is more than impressive, especially in this era. We believe these advancements can and should be used to create societal structures that work for everyone.

DataHive is on a mission leveraging decentralized technologies and the best of modern technology to ensure data privacy as a human right for all.

We are committed to:

• Building data privacy infrastructure for a fair and efficient personal information economy that defends self-sovereignty. The user should always have a choice, whether that is participation or unsubscribing.
• Creating artificial intelligence (AI) which guards and protects our individual data privacy rights.
• Decentralizing power in order to dismantle unjustified authority - a key marker and weakness of centralized systems.
• Establishing long-term value versus gaining short-term profit - this is also advances our goals of sustainability.
• A world in which every person can build their own personal information economy because when it's your data, it's your world.

There has never been a more opportune moment in history to make these efforts. The rise of decentralized technologies now provide users trustless systems of utmost security when structured correctly. The ability is now at hand to create a sovereign personal information economy and build sovereign identities is made possible.

Cryptography and decentralized systems solidify the possibility of rights that cannot be taken away and puts everyone in a fair position. This monumental transition requires the establishment of a personal information economy to empower individuals with data ownership, management, and utility.

The new personal information economy changes our relationship with companies from something that is imposed upon us by others, into something we have the choice to opt-in or opt-out.

Organizing the technology and tools to create and manage this Personal Information Economy will establish The New Rule of Data and doing so will raise the bar for data rights across the world.
